7 months old! Go Team USA!

We have had a VERY busy couple of weeks so my apologies go out to Joaquin who politely asked me to get off my butt and update the blog already!

Today is February 22nd and Lyla turns 7 months old today! Time is FLYING!!!! I think it safe to say she is officially crawling. She started out with this lunging thing where she would literally get in a plank position and then lunge herself towards whatever she wanted. This week she is up on all fours and is ALL OVER the living room! Nothing is safe...especially not computer cords. She already has the attitude that she knows what she wants and darn it she is going to go after it. There is a lot of sass wrapped up in that little body. She such a joy though...She continues to think Ty is the greatest ever, and I think for now the feeling is mutual. We will see how he feels when she is climbing out of the crib and getting into his room. She has grown another pound this month and weighed in at 16lbs, the only reason I know this is because she had to be taken to the Dr for pink eye. We have all been fighting these terrible colds and hers must have shown up that way...Bummer :( It looks like it is clearing up quickly though. Here are some pictures of our little sassy girl: (the cute hat is courtesy of Aunt Ginny, she made it)

Ty is doing great too. He is really fascinated with the Olympics. He will watch any sport...(well I take that back we have not even turned on Ice Dancing) He is all about it though routing for whatever American is competing at that time. It is fun to watch it with him and have him cheering for the USA. Last night as he was going to bed he said to Matt "I wish I had a USA blanket for my bed" Matt said, "like a big American flag?" Ty said, "No like a USA blanket" Whatever that means :)...I have no idea why he would want a blanket, but it is fun that he is so into it. I think it was his Vancouver jersey that got him into the spirit of things....Here he is with his Vancouver jersey that Uncle Henry and Uncle Doug bought him when they went on a trip to Canada.
Go Team USA!

We hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics as much as our household is!
(I personally would like to see Apolo bring home a couple more :)

The Grammy's Youngest Fan!

Lyla might be the youngest fan of the Grammy Awards! Last night Matt took Ty to the gym with him and his buddies so Lyla and I were alone. I got her all ready for bed and thought I would lay her on the floor to play a while. I had her on the floor with a bunch of toys. I also had The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on the TV...And all this kid did was lay there and watch the Grammy Awards. :)

Here she is with all of her toys...notice she is fixed on the TV
