Buddy List Update

Let the buddy list petitioning begin.....

After many people asking why they were not apart of the elite list that is "The Buddy List" and Ty receiving 2 written letters...(one containing monetary donations and promising to never send him to bed early) He has made some additions to the list.

Grammie has been added and thanks to her monetary donations, she managed to get Auntie and Uncle Henry added as well.
Joye and Johnny and Debi Kellerer have been added too. Debi sent a card to Ty as well. Not meaning to be added to the buddy list by her card but when he read the card and it said "Ty I think about you often" he smiled and said "Debi thinks about me" :) He was very excited to get his letters in the mail. He thought thought that they were great! Thanks!

Here is a picture of him with his letters that he got in the mail....sorry it is not a very good picture he didn't really WANT to take the picture.

The Buddy List

So I am not sure if Ty was worried about making friends here or what but he has been keeping track of all the friends he meets. Which I am sure you all have guessed he has made lots of friends. We had a BBQ with our friends on Sunday and Ty was out on the trampoline with Benji and Boston and he told Benji "You know you are on my Buddy List" Benji said "Oh cool, what is your buddy list" and Ty said "it's just a list I keep of all my buddies"

So that night as he got into bed he asked for a paper and got a crayon and started actually forming his "BUDDY LIST"

Last night we went out and J-Rob watched Ty for us and when we got home we asked if Ty was good for J-Rob and he said he was fine but when J-Rob made him go to be at 8 he got mad at him and crossed him off the buddy list. He crossed him off with one color and when J-rob said I don't care you still need to go to bed Ty got our another color and kept scratching out his name.

Here is how the buddy list stands: (i'll try and get a picture of it for you)
Matt Papa
Albre Kalee
Stefanie (with a flower by it)
Benji Meghan
Nala Ben
Kirsten Duke
Angelo Madigen
Brandon David
J.C Mr. Shafer( the gym teacher)
Austin Kino
Crossed Off: J-Rob

It's been a big week!

It has been a big week in the house of Davis. As you all know Matt has been working for Dillabaugh's Flooring America in their branch of their company that does cabinet sales and installation. He has really been liking it, but as most of you know this was a temporary job. They hired Matt mostly for a remodel that they were doing on a store but they were not sure if they would have a position for him after that. Well this week, Cal Dillabaugh called Matt into his office and said he had heard such great things about him and his work that he just thought he should offer him a permanent job. And of course since I am married to a smart man, Matt thankfully accepted! I am so proud of Matt I never doubted for 1 second that they would see how wonderful he was and hire him permanently!God is taking such good care of our family here. Providing so much for us!! I also received a promotion last week and started this week as lead teacher in the 3 year old's class. So that is the update on Mom and Dad, now I will tell you about the Davis you all really want to know about......
Besides having a new clown nose that Tracey gave to him....He is also GIRL CRAZY....Yes you heard me! He is utterly ga ga over Stephanie. She is a "friend" of J-Robs, and she has been over to our house a couple of times and I don't think I have EVER seen my son gitty like this. He just loves being around her, it is too cute...here is a picture of the two of them playing photo booth on our computer...We really like Stephanie, she is so sweet, and since she is a little old for Ty we are rooting for J-Rob in that department. :) Go J-Rob!
Ty is doing good in school I have been talking with his teacher and keeping an open line of communication to keep an eye on him and how he is doing. He took and Idaho standard test last week and scored "above standard" (of course) so it is just a matter of making sure that he does not get board, but so far so good.

Thanks for all the prayer over our move, it really feels like this is where god would want us to be because he is providing!

Happy 29th Birthday Matt Davis!

Today was The King of San Francisco's Birthday. He turned 29! We had lots of friends over to help us celebrate, we grilled burgers and enjoyed one of my famous cakes...Ty helped me make it! We had lots and lots of fun.

Matt has been going bowling with his buddies and has been getting really good at it so he has been wanting his own ball. So I had the guys help me order him a ball and had it sent to their house so it was hidden there for the last week. The guys also helped me by doing a very beautiful job of wrapping it! They brought it over in this huge box so wonderfully wrapped in duct tape. :) They packed it with their recycling and had his ball at the bottom of the box. He had no idea what it was so it was so much fun to surprise him!

What the heck is in this huge box??
Digging through recycling...

Finally Found it!
Jrob and Moyer also got Matt his own pair of bowling shoes, but they gave him these old rental shoes first...they were nasty! Matt was so funny trying to be nice about it and be thankful. Then when he opened the real shoes his eyes lit up like he was relieved! It is so nice to be around such great friends who will help make these kinds of things possible!

Thanks for all the love for Matt he had a great day!

Negotiations

So about a week ago I took Ty with me to the Christian Book Store to pick up a book that I ordered. Of course he ran right back to the area where the Veggie Tales stuff is and started surveying items that did not already belong to his massive collection. Amazingly enough he found a CD that he does not already have and of course he asked for it. In order to avoid a fight I said to him You can buy it, if you earn the money to buy it. Good thing this kid loves a challenge because he said okay and asked how he would earn the money. I explained to him that he would have to help out around the house. He said okay and so the games began.

On Saturday I was cleaning the house and I said to Ty I'll give you 2 dollars if you go clean your room...His eyes lit up and he said "Okay" and ran off. (the CD he wants is 6.99) So I thought no time better than the present to teach him how to negotiate. So the following conversation took place.

Mommy: Ty come back here...When I say I'll give you $2 to clean your room you should say how about $3 instead....Okay...
Ty:Okay....
Mommy: So Ty I'll give you $2 to clean your room....
Ty: Okay.(and runs off to his room)
Mommy: Ty come back here, when I say that I will give you $2 you should ask for $3 because 3 is more than 2 right?
Ty: Right....
Mommy:So do you want 2 or 3?
Ty:3
Mommy:Okay so I will give you $2 to clean your room....
Ty:
Okay...(and runs off to his room)
Mommy:Ty come back here...Do you want 2 dollars or 3 dollars?
Ty:3
Mommy:
So you have to ask for 3
Ty: Mommy, I have no idea what you are talking about!
Mommy: FINE! I will give you 3 dollars to clean your room....Just go clean it!

So either my kid is a slow learner (which we all know is NOT the case) Or he is freakin' brilliant and was able to break me down and get $3 out of me without even asking! Anyway he earned all $7 and we are off to the store today to get him his CD.He saved up his money by crumpling it up like Papa does and sticking it into a cup in his room.

Here he is with all 7 of his crumpled up dollars.

Another funny story about cleaning up his room:
When he went to clean his room I went in there and he picked this pair of underwear off his floor and said, "I'm going to put these underwear back in my drawer" I said, "are those underwear clean" and he said "I don't know I don't smell underwear!"
Where does he come up with this stuff??

He did do some other good stuff like loading his dishes into the dish washer, but his mom and dad did have to use some of the dollars for evil like paying him to not whine for an entire day....which is like his favorite thing to do right now! But it worked and it was a dollar well spent if you ask me!
