Today we took off school to go and spend the day with my nephew Mathew. He was in Petaluma with his grandparents, so the drove into the city and we picked them up and took them to see the city. We went to pier 39 to see the sea lions and we went down lombard street and did all the tourist stuff. It was very fun.
Ty had a great time chasing Mathew around and trying to copy everything that Mathew did. Which primarily consisting of jumping off of every set of stairs that he saw or railing that he swing on or jump off. Mathew was so good to him, it was just wonderful to have them together.
We went to the Aquarium of the bay and were able to check out all sorts of animals and even witness a shark feeding...which I would like to NEVER do again since I was crammed into a small aquarium tunnel with probably 200 other people. It was crazy but we made it out alive and the kids got to see a little bit of the feeding.
We also we able to go to a very fun hat store where Ty and Mathew picked out matching hats. they were pretty funny.

Real Estate & Easter Thoughts
We have been in Nampa for the past 4 days, and what started out as a informative trip quickly grew into Matt and I placing our first offer ever on a house. We went through a whole slew of emotions on this trip from being terrified that they would think we were two young idiots who didn't have a clue of what or how the housing process works to feeling like God placed exactly the right people in our path to work with us. We got connected with real estate agent who is a crack up most people would talk to this guy for a minute and head the other direction but we went to college with his daughter and we couldn't help but feel the whole time that he was more like a father figure just looking out for us. He knows we are just starting out and he is not going to sell us anything we shouldn't afford...I say shouldn't afford because on paper we look good. But we don't want to strap ourselves and he is on it and is not going to lead us down that road. Our agent set us up with a lender who is just as comforting. He makes us feel like we are his only clients (which may be the case in this market).
Anyway as we were in church this morning I began to think about the significance of Easter and the magical timing of us being here during Holy Week to look at houses and how the whole process took on this new meaning in the matter of a few short days. In a few short days Jesus life was changed, and I couldn't help but think about how he is so apart of this process and putting the right people in our path and the right road in front of us. Matt and I are so blessed that things are going the way that they are and we know that God is going to make a way for all of this to just work out. In the way that Christ was risen from the tomb on Sunday, it is a bit of a re-birth for Matt and I to think that we are going to be able to have a house and settle down here with our family, something we didn't think was possible in the same way no one believed that Christ would rise from the dead.
Anyway those are my deep thoughts for the day. Below is a picture of the house that we placed an offer on. Keep in mind that it is a bit of a stretch it is bank owned and we offered them a REALLY little number, hopefully in this market they take it if not we know that God will have something else in mind. If you would please just pray with us over this process and all that will have to happen and the changes that are going to come about with us. And pray over this particular house with us...just that if it is God's will that it be ours. We just want to trust him through this whole process.
Stay tuned for Easter pictures of Ty Monster...we get back tomorrow and I will be able to upload them to the computer...

Ty's first Job

Ty got up this morning with a fever so I went to work until 11:30 and Matt stayed home with him. Since he was feeling fine and driving his dad nuts Matt headed to work with Ty and I just met them at the Eastwood house to pick up Ty. When I got there Ty was driving around in the CAT with Papa.
He was having a blast, he then went inside to Help Daddy hammer some nails.
Since he did do some work, Papa paid him for all the work he had done.
He has been telling us that he wants his own Iphone, Matt told him if he wanted an Iphone he needed to get a job. So after Papa paid him he looked at Matt and said, "Now can I get an Iphone?" We just explained that he would need 499 more jobs in order to get an Iphone.

Going to the gym with the guys!
Matt has some buddies who work as teachers at City College of San Francisco, and they work out at the college a couple of times a week. They work out in the new weight room and then the go play basketball in the new gym. Well a couple of weeks ago I was sick so Matt took Ty to meet the guys at the gym. Ty thought it was the coolest thing on earth!!! He even took fruit snacks to give to all the guys. And after they played basketball they sat in a circle on the gym floor eating the fruit snacks Ty brought them. Tonight we went over to Joaquin and Aja's house to celebrate Joaquin's birthday. Some of the guys were there from the gym night and they were so nice laughing about Ty at the gym. Tonight, one of the guys, Bryan gave Ty a Golden State Warriors headband for him to wear the next time that he comes to the gym with the guys. Ty thought it was so cool he ran around with it on all night long.
