Hip Hop Class

This week Ty started Hip Hop class! He has a buddy at school (Jonas) who is on his soccer team. Jonas is from this really wonderful family, and recently Jonas started talking about this hip hop class he was going to take. I asked his mom were he was going to take it, thinking that Ty would like to go with him. Well Jonas' mom Marcia hooked us up because the class actually doesn't take 5 year olds. They are supposed to be 7. But because the studio is owned by Marcia's sister-in-law, they said they would take Ty too. Which is a great thing because Ty LOVES it! He is having such a blast! He is just too much fun to watch. Here is a little bit of him dancing at class, he is the littlest one in the blue & white stripped shirt. :) Enjoy! And Special thanks to the Ubaldo Family and Spark of Creation Studio, for hooking us up!

Reading at age 5

So as most of you know, Ty is already reading! We can only credit his own willingness to learn it because he really taught himself. He will also look at the picture to figure out words that he does not know. He is doing so great! He has taken to reading us bedtime stories. So tonight while he was reading Matt a bedtime story I pulled out the camera. So here you go:

1st Boy/Girl Sleep over!!!

I just left Ty at his first Boy/Girl sleepover with his best buddy Emma. Today was Emma's 5th Birthday! As you all know they have been best buds since Michelle (a.k.a. "Shell") and I shared child care when these little guys were 1. Tonight we went over and had dinner with them and celebrated with cake and presents and then the kids are staying the night there on John & Shell's floor. It is Ty, Emma, Theo, Olive, and Elizabeth. Ty and Emma have the sweetest relationship and it will be very sad to leave her. They laid their sleeping bags next to each other and were so cute. They laid their talking to each other until they turned on a movie. Then towards the end Ty said are you going to leave mom? I couldn't fault him, John and Shell are two VERY fun people, I wanted to stay and plop down my sleeping bag!

Ty is in the red sleeping bag in the picture, and Emma Girl is to the left. Theirs is just such a sweet relationship!

Cooking Kit Mania

Thanks to the support of my mom, aunt and grandma with Ty's fundraiser we have a plethora of cooking kits here to spend our free time backing. Since Sunday was Father's day and Matt loves Rice Crispy Treats we made him the Crispy Rice one. The come with these really fun gummies that are eyes, noses, mouths and mustaches. That was the only part of it that Ty would eat. Matt loved them...And Ty had a great time decorating them. We of course had to make Bob & Larry...See our creations & fun below.

Ty with a gummie mustache!
Artists hard at work!

Oh The fun didn't stop there...On Tuesday night Ty convinced me to make the rainbow cookie kit...Only he made only 2 cookies and then he was over it, so I was stuck making a dozen or more so cookies. But of course he made....Who else? BOB & LARRY...This kid should get paid to promote veggie tales! If he did we would be rich!

Here are some other pictures of us from last week that I thought I might share: Enjoy!

I hope that you all enjoyed your father's day. Matt did what he does best and hung out with Ty all day. He is such a great dad, never ending patience! Ty has been having a really hard time with the transitions that are happening in our life, so please keep him in your prayers. It is hard for him to not know what to expect, with the new house and school and some of his friends are starting to leave preschool for a summer break, so he has already begun good-byes. So just keep praying for him, and us.

A weekend in the life of Ty Davis

Back by popular demand information about the member of Davis II that you really care to know about.....

On Friday Ty was awarded with FIRST place for selling the most Cooking Kits for the school fundraiser. He sold 76 boxes of the 335 boxes that the school sold! And it was all on his own, I didn't sell any of them. He helped the school reach their goal (256 boxes) and helped win a pizza party for all of the children in the school. Which they enjoyed on Friday. Second place wasn't even close, they only sold 45 boxes and it was a set of twins who won second.

Special Thanks to all of you who bought lots of cooking kits! He was so excited to accept his prize. We might have a future salesmen on our hands! He did his uncles proud!

Saturday was filled with a showing of Kung Fu Panda, a haircut and some paint by numbers...Here is a picture of him and Daddy after their haircuts...They clean up nice

Then on Sunday we went up to Petaluma to the farm that Mike and Brenda will be living at and we played all day. The have a great Pool, and when Papa is the boss of the pool you can put whatever kind of Toys you want in the pool so they did. Ty, Matt and Papa took off to Kmart and found a boat to put in the pool. So I put together a little video of Ty at Silver Penny Farm for your viewing pleasure. The first pictures are of Ty and Papa by the sunflowers that Ty planted the last time he was up there. Hope you like it.

And there you have it folks you asked for it and you got it a complete update on the happenings of a 5 year olds life...Not bad if I may say so myself!

It's a rough life but someone has to live it!

Thanks for all of your prayers on the matter...It was a VERY long process!
