We have been very busy in the Davis house! With me being back in the swing of school, Ty starting basketball, and Lyla turning six months. There has not been a dull moment here. Being parents to two certainly keeps you moving, so here is all the updates on all the crazy happenings of our house:
TY STARTS BASKETBALL
Ty is on the Clippers team for basketball, and he is having tons of fun. The first game was kinda rough because the other team was a lot bigger, but all of the boys had fun. He is apart of this program that is really wonderful and his games are at our church gym. (Yes, those are cheerleaders in the back! We would not have signed him up for a program that didn't have cheerleaders!)

One of my favorite things right now might be watching TY play sports! It is so much fun to watch him learn and have fun doing it. I will try and post video of his game next week, so that you can see it more in action. He is keeping his teacher on her toes as well. I spoke to her yesterday because his report card came home and he went from and Excellent in Science to a Satisfactory??? So I called apparently it was a computer glitch and all the kids in his class got a Satisfactory. But we have had to put the smack down on him for losing things such as homework, and his lunchbox. I am afraid he is going to be like my Aunt Irene! I love you Auntie, and you might be the most brilliant person I know, but lets face it you would lose your head if it wasn't attached, and you are the only person I know who could get lost in your own neighborhood! :)
LYLA TURNS 6 MONTHS
The Lyla bug turned 6 months old this last week! She is weighing in at 15lbs! She is right on for all of her developmental stages. Most of all she makes us smile all the time! Ty continues to be her favorite person. She enjoys rolling around the living room to get to items that she wants, watching the kids that I watch, peas, and carrots, and not sleeping for her daddy, while I am at school. She is going to be a mover! We still have to swaddle her to get her to go to sleep...she doesn't need to be rocked or have a bottle, just wrapped so tight that she can't move around and stay awake. Otherwise she keeps her body moving and would stay awake for 24 hours!
This is her new face she is making ALL the time! Doesn't she look so smart :)...I think the reason she is making it though means teeth are a coming!

She loves to be a part of the crowd! After school all of the kids run to the snack box in the pantry and grab a snack and Lyla loves it if I put her in her highchair and let her sit with the kids with a little snack.

They keep things interesting but being parents to Ty & Lyla might be the best thing in the world!
