When you fall

Last night we were driving in the car to the mall and Matt and I were talking, I don't even remember now what we were talking about but Ty interrupted us and said "hey guys" Matt said "What Buddy" and Ty said "If you guys fall I will be there to lift you up"

Because he caught us so off guard with this sweet sentiment, we really were not sure what to say other than to respond that we would always do the same for him. He is such a funny kid! Where he comes up with this stuff I do not know...

Can't tell he has grown up in a church setting can you? That is our little preacher man...maybe he will be a Rev. like his Papa.

Fun In the Snow

Ty's Cousin Mathew

My nephew Mathew lives with his mom and her family, and I have tried to keep in contact with him, but with the distance it is hard. I have had a little contact with Mathew for the last couple of years and I have visited him when I am home. But Ty has not gotten to meet Mathew. On this visit to Colorado he got to meet Mathew for the first time, he thought that he was very cool and has talked about him a lot since we got home.

The boys made snow globes together and then we all constructed a gingerbread house

It was a wonderful visit with Mathew and I am so thankful that Ty will have the opportunity to know his cousin.

A Colorado Christmas

We spent Christmas in Colorado this year, and my family goes crazy on Christmas Eve, all of my aunts and uncles live within 30 min of my Grandma Helen's house, so they all get together at Grandma's for Christmas Eve. We have a small dinner and then go crazy opening up presents. This is what the tree looks like before it all begins, and that is not the 1/2 of it these presents extend all the way out to the left of this picture.

And this is what me and my cousins have to say about that!.... This is my cousins, Victoria, Marshall and Me doing the family thumbs up!

Then Ty woke up Christmas morning to find that Santa had found him and Grammie Helen's house!

And we discovered that we were going to have a White Christmas... Hopefully our flight won't be delayed we are supposed to leave today.

This is the whole Rosales Fam that was there!

Can I get a thumbs up?

Sing it on the Wii

Let the Christmas games begin! Grammie Helen decided to give Ty his present early so that she would get a chance to watch him play with it before we head back to California...I think it was worth giving it to him early watch as he sings along to High School Musical on the Wii...

Fire Truck Comes to Preschool

We had the great pleasure of the Daly City Fire Department bringing a Engine to our Preschool. They were very nice and told the kids all about what to do in case of a fire. Here are the pictures of our very own Ty Davis in his motorcycle jacket standing by the fire truck.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

So you probably already know by now that my favorite designer is Juicy Couture! Well since our budget doesn't exactly allow me to go crazy at the Juicy store. I get a little excited when I get something new!

My Dad sent gift cards for Christmas, and it turned out to be the most wonderful thing! Matt said that I could use my portion to get a new purse!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't he a good husband! But we turned it into this really fun night. We got a sitter, and took the bart train (our subway) to downtown San Francisco. Went to the Juicy store and Bloomingdale's then shopped at some other stores, but who cares about those. We had dinner in the Westfield shopping center. (Which in San Francisco is like going to a fancy restaurant) Some quality time with my husband and time at the Juicy store who could ask for anything more! Merry Christmas to ME!!! Thanks Dad!

Ty's New Wheels

Merry Christmas early from Grammie! Ty had his eye on this new, very cool luggage. And so she sent the money to get him it before he travels to Colorado on the 19th. We purchased it at the Disney Store and then stuck it on the front porch with a note on it (To: Ty, From: Grammie)
He knows how to read...Yes that is right my 4 year old is reading!
So he shouted "It's for me!" It says "To Ty, From Grammie. It's for me!"
And now he has discovered that it fits LOTS of his toys!

I think he likes it! :) Thanks Grammie!

Our $18 Christmas Tree

Because we are traveling to Colorado this year for Christmas, I wanted to get us a cheap little fake tree...Neither of like fake trees...I hate them and Matt hates them even more than I do, but when you are going to be gone, it is hard to get a real one. So I came across an 6' tree at Big Lots for $18. (Did I mention that I love big lots?) Anyway Ty went with me to buy it and when we got it home and took it out of the box he looked at it with this disgusted look and said, "it just looks like a desert cactus?" So I told him we have to fluff out all the branches...So I started putting it together and fluffing it and he said, "This is going to be a good Christmas, but I just don't like the tree"

Anyway It cleans up pretty nice and, he likes it now that I told him after this year you can have it in your bedroom...Now since it is HIS, it is a GREAT tree.

School Pictures

We just got Ty's school pictures back...can you say Cheese! Doesn't he look like he should be on a poster for the picture company? We are happy that they look good because school pictures are notoriously bad!

Oh and by the way do you think he was switched at birth? He does not look like me AT ALL!

I am officially a teacher....I have the teacher school picture to prove it :)

THANK YOU GRANDMA HELEN!

A couple of weeks ago Ty decided that he wanted to be Troy Bolton from High School Musical for Halloween...So after not finding anything at the store, I googled it and found that there was indeed a Troy costume, only it was sold out EVERYWHERE. Not only was it sold out it was being sold on Ebay for much more than reasonable. After telling my grandma this she went to the Halloween store the next morning in Colorado and found one and mailed it to Ty. So THANKS Grandma Helen for making his dream come true. :) He is so happy about it and it was a Huge hit at Brandon's Halloween party he got a 1st place ribbon.

Oh and that is not all, since parents had to dress up for Brandon's party too, Ty requested that Matt dress up like Chad from High School Musical...so when he decided that he said to me "Mommy can I have your phone, I need to call Grandma Helen and ask her to buy Daddy the Chad costume" He is so funny! So I had to go out and get Matt a costume to make him look like Chad :) This is the best we could come up with. I of course took the opportunity to dress in my favorite era...50's :) Brandon's Party was a big hit with parents and children :)

1st Visit to the...DENTIST

I took Ty to the Dentist for the first time, and he did AWESOME!! He got a little weirded out at first before we went in he got tears in his eyes and said I don't want to do this and I explained to him that she was not going to hurt him and that people went to the Dr when they were sick but you go to the dentist so that your teeth don't get sick. Our Dentist was so great with him she talked him through everything and showed him all her tools and let him use a mirror to watch her work. It was VERY cool. I was SO PROUD of how well he did. He was so brave! He kept him mouth opent the whole time. Even when I went to take a pictures...

After we were done he was so proud of his clean teeth he was showing them to all the ladies in the office. He was too cute and he said that the Dentist was FUN! Which I love I really want him to have a good image of the Dentist since I never did. The Dentist put fluoride on his teeth and told him not to eat, drink or rinse for half and hour. So about 3 hours later when we went to eat dinner he told me remember the dentist told me not to eat drink or "since". I said she said rinse not since and it has been a half hour, your okay. go ahead and eat. He is too funny!

Tales from the Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out some pumpkins to carve, here is a picture of the three of us with the one that Ty picked. We were running around looking at all these cool pumpkins with dents in them or awesome stems sticking off of them but no Ty wanted this one, the plain looking one...Now I know how my mother felt every Halloween! We will carve them on Friday so stay tuned for pictures of the final product :)

Just Another Saturday

Yesterday we woke up got ready for soccer and went to the fields to have team pictures done, where of course my son threw a fit and didn't want to take pictures, and another mom had to help me convince him that he should take the pictures before my head exploded from being so angry at him. After 20 min of arguing he finally took the freakin' pictures!!

Then he ran off to climb trees with his good buddy Brandon. Where when I asked him to smile for my camera he gladly did it....UNBELIEVABLE!

After playing in the trees he and his buddies powered up and played a great game Ty scored 1 goal (but if you asked him, he scored 9 of them...must be a Davis trait, Rosales' NEVER think bigger or better...can you tell I am being sarcastic!)
So after the game Ty and I headed to the Carnival at his school and Matt headed off to bed because he is fighting a sinus infection. I don't have any pictures from the carnival because I left the camera in the soccer bag :). But fun was had by all! Brandon and his mom came with us from the game and the boys met up with their buddy from school Abraham, the 3 boys saved up their tickets and got huge blow up bats and ran around the school yard hitting each other with them. Yes fun was had by all. :)

Letter of the week...E

This week at school the letter that the kids were learning was the letter E, so for a fun activity we made Elephant Ears for the kids to wear...they thought it was hillarious! Here is a picture of Ty with his Elephant Ears on. They look more like Elf Ears because of the way they were glued on.
Good thing he is such a good sport to let his mom chase him around with a camera at school other wise you would not get to see these fun pictures.

Hair Cut before and after

This is for the Grammie who HATES fresh haircuts. :)

We went to Debi's 50th Birthday party at Il Fornio in downtown S.F. and poor Ty got so board of the fancy resturant and 14 other adults at the table so he feel asleep on Matt's lap. Then when his dad got board (probably for the same reason) he started to play with Ty's hair.

After that picture was taken we decided that the Ty Monster was in desperate need of a haircut. So the next day I took him in. He was such a big guy he just went up to the chair and climbed up and sat down so nice. The lady kept saying what a good boy. Then I looked over at him and he looked like something was wrong his eyes were all welled up with tears and I said what is wrong and he just broke down and started crying. I asked him again what was wrong, and he didn't say anthing, then it occured to me that his hair was sticking straight up (which he HATES) it was sticking up because she was cutting it. So I had to explain to him that, that is how they do it they pull it up to cut it, but it won't stay that way. Then I had to explain to the lady what was wrong because she looked terrified that she had hurt him or something. So after the big ordeal this is what the final haircut looks like. Nice and Flat!

SHAVING CREAM!

Today at school Miss Sarah did a shaving cream project with the kids. They spread out shaving cream all over the table and then they used their fingers as their pencils to write their names, the letter C (which was the letter of the week) and draw pictures. The kids had a blast doing it and me and Miss Sarah had just as much fun cleaning it up!

What you do with Mom's camera when no one is looking

I asked him to get dressed for school and instead I find him with the camera doing this. You think it has anything to do with how he feels when I ask him to get dressed over and over again?

Soccer Star

Ty has started Soccer and he is on "Team United" they will play their first game this Saturday at 9:30am. We had practice tonight and he got his jersey. He is so excited and he looks pretty cool in it if I might say so myself.

He took these two cute pictures and then had to ham it up for the camera.
