Loosing Weight

So as some of you know, in a bet with my mom I am trying to lose 15lbs. I decided that I need to get the lunch lady at school in on it. The lunch lady (Miss Anne) makes brownies once a week...well since she knows I am a sucker for her brownies she often brings me 2 or 3 of them. She calls them soul food. So on Monday I told her no more soul food for me. Today when she brought the snack for the children she said she prepared a snack for me as well. It was a little bowl covered with tin foil and when I pulled back the foil there was 1 single grape inside....I guess she listened no more soul food for me :)

The City Golf Championship

Today Matt played in the San Francisco City Golf Championship. Ty and I were able to go out and watch him from the sidewalk at the legion of honor.
Since they don't allow children on the golf course Ty and I had to sit up out of the way, Ty didn't really like that, he wanted to be right there with his dad.

But when Matt got to this hole over looking the bay, we got to see him closer, since there is a road and a sidewalk right next to this hole. It made for some beautiful pictures. (That is Matt teeing off in the White Shirt)

Can you belive that this is the view from that hole!! We sure live in a beautiful place!

It was a beautiful setting to watch Matt play.

Ty loved this hole because he got to be right next to the action! He sure thinks his dad is pretty cool! (that is Matt putting in the background) He got to hold Matt's head cover to his putter while he putted this hole.

Teaching our child about Voting

So Matt and I went to our polling place tonight to vote, and we took Ty with us. When we got to the polling place, Ty said “What are we doing here?” I said “Daddy and I are voting” and Ty said “What’s that?” So in an in an attempt to explain to him what we were voting for I said “You know how Mommy and Daddy are the boss at home, well there is a big boss who is the boss of all of the United States and he is called The President. And Mommy and Daddy are voting for who they want to be the big boss.” He just said “Oh.” So we left it at that and we went into the polling place and there was of course a senior gentleman there to take our ballots (we have absentee ballots) and so we handed them to this senior citizen and then left. When we turned to leave Ty said “Was that guy the big boss?”

Needless to say after this we explained a little bit more.

Attention All Husbands

Attention All Husbands:
If your wife has just cleaned the bathroom and you use the bathroom, when you come out don't tell her that you want to show her something and then proceed to tell her how to better clean the toilet...hear me when I say this: This will NOT go over well!!!

Our Big Day

So we had quite the day it started out by us begining to clean our house for the chuch super bowl party that we are hosting at our house tomorrow, then we had to leave to go to Chuck E. Cheese for Angelo's birthday party where we survived 3 hours at a FULLY PACKED Chuck E. Cheese! Here is Ty and Angelo playing a game at Chuck E. Cheese.

Then we got home and I started to finish up the cleaning job, and instead of cleaning Ty's room Ty and his dad started a band in his room, They are going to start a new trend of wearing pants on their heads...becuase rock stars do that.

I think they need to work on their sound but their style is awesome!

Let's Rock!

A California Snow Day

We had snow day today at school, which in california means letting the children crumble up white paper and throw it at each other. Then have s'mores and hot chocolate for your snack time. The kids in the Pre-K class got to throw real snow balls (made from a snow cone machine) Here is our s'mores face:
The same kid who would not eat s'mores when we were camping wanted seconds today.
