The great Mashed Potato stand off of 09

We have been trying really hard to get Ty to eat new foods, which many of you know we will admit is the downfall of our parenting! We have been really trying...well lets face it all we do is bribe him and then face the agony that goes along with him crying while he is trying a food that is really not as bad as he makes out to be. You would think we were feeding him cow brains or something!. So anyway in attempt to get him to eat SOMETHING related to thanksgiving we made him a deal to eat mashed potatoes. and of course we bribed him.So at thanksgiving dinner we dished him up a small pile of mashed potatoes, and he cried and complained before even taking a bite! We talked and kept asking him to take a bite....Well no can do!! That kid finally said, "I'll just save my money and buy the game I want." Thinking we would call his bluff we said "fine, but we know you don't have enough change to buy a game." You would think that we would know better than to call this kids bluff right! But NO, so after dinner he went straight to all of his stashes of change & dollars (thanks to ALL of his Grandparents!) After some careful counting of all of his money Matt discovered that this kid has $42.00 stashed away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So there goes that! We are going to have to rush him off to the store so that we have some leverage again!!

For the record the kid DOES eat turkey on a regular basis, but he calls it ham. When I revealed this to him he was sure it was packaged wrong! At least he is sure of himself!
