Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! As a rule we really don't go crazy on Valentine's day. We don't see the point. Ty celebrated yesterday at school and loved it. He took "fun dip" valentine's for everyone at school and came home with a LOOT of stuff! I guess there are major benefits to being in both the kinder class and the 1st grade class....

DOUBLE THE VALENTINE'S!

Unfortunately he came home sick from school, but my kid is no dummy he didn't complain to his teacher of being sick until after the Valentine's party was over! So when he got home he just sat there going through his valentine's.

Yesterday was also our good friend Johnny's Birthday! (Which many of you may know his real name is Juan!) And of course we all find all the ways to tease him about that! it's all in good fun, and he is a great sport about it!! So anyway for Juan's birthday Joye threw him a surprise party at their house and I had the honor of making a very cool cake for Juan...It was Joye's Idea I just carried it out :) What better to represent some Juan's birthday than....
A SOMBRERO THAT SAYS....

Joye hat the idea that it should say, "your the Juan who's birthday it is" But I had a dream it didn't fit on there and I ruined the cake...Must be the pregnancy talking :) which by the way is good, 15 weeks tomorrow...only 5 weeks till we find out what it is!! We can't WAIT!

Love you all have a happy valentine's day!

Fundraiser update....
Special thanks to all who have given to Ty I think he is at about $450! He is so excited about it, he is giving his gym teacher updates and I think it has officially made him the gym teachers favorite :)

Ty the fundraiser

Ty's American Heart Association Day is next Friday (Feb. 20th) and he is in full swing of fundraising. You all know how good he is at that! Lest we forget him taking home first prize for the preschool fundraiser, by pulling all your heart stings! He has been hard at work, calling and emailing people. He has a website with the American Heart Association so you can go there and make a donation. If you need the link just email me and I can send it again. I don't know how to post it here.

He is very excited about this, so I just want to say thanks to all of you in advance for helping this kid out! We are so blessed that we have such great friends and family who are always willing to support him in all his ventures.

Good News, Bad News

Hi Everyone, sorry it has been so long. My days have consisted of laying around amounting to nothing since most of the time I am sick to my stomach, and so tired that I can hardly function. (Oh the joys of being pregnant!) The good news is I am now 12 weeks along and starting to feel lots better! Admittedly I am praying very hard for a girl, since I am surrounded by video games these days and I have to admit I am also pretty sick of cleaning pee off of every toilet seat in our house. Ty still is not very good at watching where he aims! So if you could all pray with me of thoughts of pink that would be very nice! My mom has jumped on the band waggon already emailing me cute baby girl shoes. I'm trying to not get my hopes up, but as you can tell I am doing a really bad job of it. So there is the good news, everything is good on the baby front.

Now on to the bad news....The bad new is that our favorite entrepreneur is at it again! Ty came home today with all the information for Jump Rope for Heart. And he has set his sights on the $500 prize....So if you see our phone # come up just get ready to be sold! You all know how good he is so be prepared!! The American Heart Association has also set up for the kids to connect to a safe website to build their own web site in order to get sponsors that way too. They can send out emails and then you can donate directly to the American Heart Association in his name. So if you get an email from there just know that it is this little boys shinning face on the other end of the email.

Here he is with his donation sheet!

Keep in mind that you are not buying anything you are actually donating money to the American Heart Association, and the kids win prizes for the amount of money that they earn. All of the donations are tax deductible!

Anyway we love you all and we are so thankful for anything that everything that you have done to support us!

Those of you who live on DEEP CREEK beware we will come a knocking on your door!!!

Merry Day After Christmas!

We survived our first Christmas in our own house. Now on to the fun part...the cleaning :) Unfortunately me and my dish washer are not very good friends...and one day when I have some money it is going to be fired and I will get one that actually works :)

It was a great time in our house we let Ty open up one present on Christmas Eve. We started a new tradition of giving each other pajamas on Christmas eve. So We wrapped up Ty's Jammie's and a toy so it wasn't to much of a disappointment. So this year I was able to find a very fun set of matching Jammie's for Matt and Ty.

Matt's say Wii and Ty's say Mini Wii...and Ty has not taken them off since Christmas Eve :)

They thought they were pretty cool.

Ty had a great Christmas, I think he got all he wanted and much much more. Thank you to everyone who sent him gifts...I think I am going to be stuck in the house for the next several days...He is going to want to stay home and just play with his stuff.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

I'm so sorry it has been so long. The good news is my mom is still talking to me even though I have been such a slacker with my blog. We have been very busy! As I am sure most of you know we just found out that number 2 is on the way! Yes you heard right, I am about 8 weeks. We are going in on Monday for an ultrasound to see exactly how far. So besides me being able to fall asleep anywhere and not interested in ANY food. We have been busy little bees decorating our house for the Holidays. In Nov. my mom stopped by to help me find some chairs for my dinning room. We ended up buying some at a second hand store and refinishing them...Sounded like a good idea at the time. But lucky for us they turned out BEAUTIFUL! So I am all set for any Holiday gatherings in style. It was a project that would make Grandma Kay very proud! It's the kind of thing she would do.

For Christmas we put lights on the outside of the house and put up our tree. Ty is loving all the decorations. He loves pulling up to the house when it is all lit up. This weekend we welcomed our first snow fall. Ty thought it was pretty cool. We woke up to it coming down and with in a matter of hours there was enough for a good snow man. So Ty and Matt took advantage of it.Here are some pictures from the excitement that has been happening around our house. Hope this finds everyone doing well and enjoying the most wonderful time of the year...

Ty when he woke up to see the snow coming down in the back yard...

Ty by the Christmas Tree..

Yes I had to match my wrapping paper to my living room decor :) I couldn't help myself...

The DINNING ROOM CHAIR PROJECT:

Chairs Before:

Chairs after: (this is what the two end chairs look like)

The others just have a very beautiful black fabric... We still have some decorating to do in that room but it would not be very much fun if it was just done. It's more fun to look for stuff and decorate as you go. :)

Jokes

Ty had parent teacher conferences this week and at his school they had a book fair that you could go through in the library. So after conferences we went into the book fair and bought him some new books. One of his great finds was a joke book. So he has been running around and telling everyone jokes.

Yesterday we were in the car and Ty said "Hey Daddy I have a joke for you" so Matt said Okay...
Ty said, "Knock, Knock" and Matt said "Who's there" Ty said "It's" Matt said "It's who?" and Ty said "It's Mario Cart Dumb Ass!"

At this point I had to take over because Matt was trying so hard to laugh as silently as he possibly could!! I explained to Ty that we probably should not say those words it is not nice. Which of course our brilliant son figured out how to read between the lines...Figuring that what I was actually telling him was that he should not say this in front of mom and dad...Because when we got home I went in the house and Ty thought I was upstairs already because he came running in the house away from Matt. (they were playing) When he was sure the door was closed and Daddy was in the garage and Thought I was upstairs he said "Here comes dumb ass" meaning Matt only when he looked up I was standing there...His face dropped and I said "what did you say?" He said I said "Here comes Daddy"

What can you do?

So Sorry!

So Sorry...I have not added anything to the blog lately! I could not find the camera for a while...Seriously true story :) Things have been good. Just life as usual, Ty has completed 2 weeks of his full time schedule and things are going good with that he loves it still so that is a good sign.

We had a good Halloween, we went trick-or-treating with Ty's friend from school and it was a good time. Or in the words of my dad we had a BIG time. :) About a week before Halloween we went to the Pumpkin Patch with Joye and Johnny and Caleb So here are some pictures from that little trip and pictures of Ty with his pumpkins.

Ty and his pumpkin that he hand picked from the patch!
Me and Matt at the Pumpkin Patch...

Ty and Daddy doing the pumpkin sling shot...

Caleb ridding in the pumpkin wheel barrow...

Ty with his pumpkins that he carved...we found a really great battery operated tool that he could use so that he could carve them by himself. It had a huge handle so that his hand was far away from the blade. so He did it all by himself...drew the face too.
