This is NOT the same kid!

Not the same kid!!! Tonight Ty played T-ball in the pouring rain! This is not the same kid who used to run off the soccer field because he got his hands dirty! He did so good keeping his head in the game even though there was rain in our face! As a matter of fact I think he did better than I did! I was praying God would make it stop! Matt didn't go with us because he had his first softball game tonight.

Things with our baby girl, Lyla are going good. I see the Dr. again next week and at that point I will start going every two weeks. It feels like things are going so much faster than they did with Ty. We are going to start working on her room in the coming weeks which really makes if feel real. Besides the fact that she moves so much!! That makes it feel pretty real too! :)

Well there is my little update! I will share more pictures when I can! Hope all is well!

Ty and Baby Update

So we have had quite the couple of weeks! You can not call our lives boring right now! Lets see, we have T-ball twice a week, and soccer once a week. And then we have had several exciting things happen. (I say exciting because I have calmed down from it all) We have blown a tire on the way to Easter Sunday, we have lost, then found a Nintendo DS, oh and we have crashed a computer. Fun Times at the Davis House!!

Ty continues to LOVE T-ball. He is on this fantastic team and we have sooo much fun going and watching him. Matt is still enjoying helping out with the team too! Ty is still doing really wonderful in school, he continues to move up in his scores and amaze all of his teachers. He is getting ready for graduation from kindergarten which will happen this June. So he has all kinds of songs that he is learning that are all about graduation and going to 1st grade. Ty is doing great.

Our baby GIRL is growing and doing great also! We saw the Dr. on Thursday and she did another ultra-sound so that Matt could see her for the first time. She moves all the time! We talked with the Dr. about C-section or no C-section and we decided on just going ahead and scheduling it. So we are scheduled to go in on JULY 29th Unless I go into labor before. Oh and incase you were wondering the name??? We are going with

Lyla Rose Davis
We just liked the name Lyla, it sounded classy and beautiful. And we picked Rose because of my maiden name being Rosales and the fact that everyone used to call my "Poppy" (Grandpa Lupe) "Rosie" as his nickname. We toyed with alot of middle names but Rose just fit the best.

T-Ball

Today was Ty's first T-ball game. I'm not sure who had more fun, Ty or Daddy. But the good news is that they both had lots of fun! Ty is really into it and so it is so much fun to watch. The coach has had Matt helping out with the team a lot and he is loving every minute of it! Here is a video of his first at bat. And some pictures from the big game. ENJOY!

McCall 2009

This weekend our good friends (Joye & Johnny) invited us up to McCall for a nice little weekend away from it all. We headed up on Friday night after work and got back this afternoon. There was lots of snow up there and it was wonderful becuase we got to hang out with good friends and Joye's cousin Sally has a daughter, Jayden who is 5 years old and Ty and her loved playing together. It was a really fun time of just hanging out and playing in the snow. Here are some pictures from our fun times....

Happy Birthday to Me!

On Saturday I turned 29!! Yikes! But I had a wonderful day! We just stayed home and relaxed for most of the day. Then Joye took me to get pedicures. (which was wonderful!) When we returned home some of our friends joined us for pizza and cake. Ty and Matt made my cake for me. It was the coolest cake EVER! :) Here are some pictures of Ty decorating...

I went to the Dr. this week and she did another ultra-sound. So we have confirmation on the sex of the baby...the Dr. says it is for sure a girl so Matt is going to let me to go ahead with the pink room I have always dreamed of. :) The Dr. said everything looks beautiful and that things are moving along just great. She is a mover much like her brother was. I am already feeling her move a lot and Matt got to feel her move for the first time today too. She just wiggles like crazy.

We have yet to decide on her name since I can't make up my mind on anything right now. We obviously have a couple in mind but just have not nailed it down yet...So we will let you know when we decide on that.

A Baby Girl

So I am sure that I have called you all already. (Or tried, I can't help if you don't answer or call me back.) I just could not keep this news all to myself. I went to a new Dr. yesterday, thanks to my wonderful friend Joye who referred me to her OB. And since I was a new patient she gave me a quick ultra sound to check sizes and time lines and she told me she is almost positive that it is....

A GIRL!!!!!!!
I am so excited I can hardly stand it. All I want to do is go out and buy lots of PINK...Surprise, surprise! So anyway I thought I would share some pictures from our ultra sound so you all can see our beautiful girl....

The new Doc, who I love said that things are looking good, she also moved up my due date to August 4th. We are still talking about weither or not we will have a C section or not. So if I do then we should know the exact birthdate and we will just plan it. I'll keep you posted.

Child Proof?????

Child proof is not child proof any more. This morning I came down stairs and Ty was in the kitchen getting the usual pop tart before school. I picked up his bottle of vitamins and said "here you need to take some vitamins" Ty said "I already took them"....He figured out how to open the top by himself...so I proceeded to have a conversation with him about how vitamins could be bad if you have too many.

Since Matt is usually the vitamin freak, when he got home he said to Ty "Did you have vitamins today?" Ty said "yes" and I told Matt about how he open the bottle himself. Matt said to Ty "How did you open the bottle"

Ty said "I read the directions on the top of the bottle and looked at the arrow!"
(He said it with much sarcasm) This kid never fails to amaze us!
