We had a really wonderful Saturday today. I got to put some finishing touches on Lyla's room and really enjoyed that. (I love those projects) So tonight I was fully planning on doing a blog about that, but as I was cleaning up after dinner I started to think about My Poppy, which for those who don't know him, Poppy was my grandfather. Or Lupe Rosales if you will. Hence Ty "Lupe" Davis. People also referred to him as "Rosie" Rosales. Which is why Lyla's middle name will be Rose. As you all know he was the major male figure in my life. I think the reason that I started to think about him was because I added this picture to the many I have of him in my kitchen. I have several pictures of him in my kitchen, he was an amazing cook. And it always just feels like he is looking after me in my kitchen...except for maybe the other night when I made some really bad enchiladas (not sure where he was on that one. :)) The other day I found this frame in the garage, and dug up another picture of him to put in the kitchen. So I just wanted to share this picture of him that has been making me smile the last couple of days. I wish he were around to see my kids that would be so amazing!
I'm not sure if it is his rockin' outfit that makes me smile, or the look on his face that just seems to say to me it's gonna be okay... But I thought it was so worth sharing! So enough sentimental stuff :) Sorry to switch gears on you like that. I blame it on the fact that I am 9 months pregnant. So the real reason for the post is that today I added Lyla's name to her door of her room. When we moved in I was painting in Ty's room and I randomly painted his name on the door so we decided that we would do the same with Lyla's room. So today I broke out the paint and got it done. There is nothing I love more than doing projects like this in the house!!
It looks very cute next to each other too.
Sorry the picture is so dark, not sure why. So I think we are ready for this little girl to come already! I know for sure that I am ready, as a matter of fact I would welcome her right now if I could!! I am really uncomfortable! But what can you do, we don't have any update for you in that department. I will see the Dr. on Thursday so IF anything is going on I'll let you know. Hope all is well with everyone!
